Mason's a Big Boy!

It's been a while since I updated just on our little Mason! It's hard to believe he's the same age right now as James was when he was born (just a week shy of 21 months). It makes me wonder how I/we did it! He's a busy little guy and for the most part very happy! It's hard not to melt when he flies into your arms for the best hugs! He's beginning to talk a little bit (new words this week are Santa) and he thinks he's a pretty big joker when you ask him a question...he mostly answer 'NOT!'...James thinks this is hilarious and continues to ask him each night after dinner if he's going to do the dishes to which Mason replies 'not' and they both laugh hysterically. Although he can only say about 5 letters of the alphabet, he can point them all out on a page, thanks to James' help in learning and just today they worked on a 1-10 puzzle and Mason got 9/10 correct! James is so sweet everytime he gets one right he says 'good job bub!' and high fives him at the end...very heartwarming! So here's to our little man...we love him so much (the big guy too;)

First Few Steps!

Mason has been furniture walking and standing for what seems like months now, but maybe only 8 weeks and this week he started walking on his own! Maybe 5 or 6 steps at a time and he gets quite excited afterwards! Here's once we caught on tape - please disregard me, I was sick and in jammies and please disregard James crying in the background, he doesn't like the focus on Mason too much (or at all!)

Get that camera outta my face!

Mason not so much a fan of my flash photography and man I've missed out on some cute smiles, but the pics are still cute! And he takes after his Daddy who's eyes are pretty much closed in half of the pics I take, so he comes by it honestly!

Mason pulling himself up!

Mason is determined to walk and yesterday even pushed himself unassisted behind a push car, which I didn't capture on video, but hope to soon! If he can pull himself up on something he will!

Mason on the move!

I finally bought some new video tape to capture Mason's crawl (not the first unfortunately!) He is a mover and always wants to crawl towards the closet person and when he reaches you he pulls himself to standing! And the biggest smile adorns his cute little face - he's so proud of himself!

Walkin' on the wild side

We borrowed a walker from our friend who got it in the states last year and it's been providing a ton of entertainment and fun around our place! Especially after dinner when that seems to be the 'run around the house naked and make as much noise as you can' time! Here are a few shots!

One Half

This little boy is one half of a year, but has our whole heart!

It's gone by too fast Mason. We are so excited for the next 6 months to see you change and grow. You are the perfect fit in our family!

Canada's Next Top Models

My sister in law, Genn, did some family photography last week as we wanted to mark Mason's birth as a great moment in our little family's life!  It was hard to just pic a few but here are my favorites!  Genn does work on Vancouver Island and the mainland, if you are interested!
